FT Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the Mon Valley

Job Title: Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)– Family Medicine (Outpatient)

Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA)  or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a family medicine outpatient setting. The PA evaluates, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan while collaborating with supervising physicians and care team members to deliver comprehensive primary care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and lab results

• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations

• Provide preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management

• Perform minor office-based procedures

• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members to coordinate care

• Support quality initiatives and population health management efforts

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or if CRNP

  • Graduate Degree: A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a nurse practitioner specialty is required.
  • Accredited Program: The program must be accredited and board-approved, including core courses in pharmacology (at least 45 hours) and advanced physical assessment.

• Current state licensure and appropriate certifications

• DEA registration (if required)

• Experience in family medicine or primary care preferred

• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
