Position: Front Desk Receptionist - Colton, CA
Division: Administration

Pay: $20 an hour

Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist works independently to greet and check in all visitors and provide front-office administrative support within a manufacturing environment. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch. Some overtime may be required. Business casual attire is required, along with a professional demeanor and the ability to work with diverse personalities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

– Maintain a clean, organized, and visitor-ready check-in area
– Answer, screen, and forward calls using the Microsoft Teams phone system
– Greet visitors, ensure proper sign-in, and direct them to the appropriate staff or office
– Ensure reception desk coverage and main phone line availability during business hours
– Conduct brief safety orientations for visitors as applicable
– Manage office supply inventory, purchasing, and inventory spreadsheets
– Coordinate service calls for office equipment
– Sort and distribute incoming mail for administration and shop buildings
– Prepare outgoing mail and shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.)
– Perform general clerical duties including filing, photocopying, data entry, and scanning
– Assist the billing department with document collection and billing worksheets
– Provide administrative support to other departments as approved by supervision

Experience / skills

– Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
– Professional attitude, appearance, and strong customer service skills
– Excellent communication and organizational abilities
– Ability to independently perform clerical and office work
– Proficient with multi-line phone systems, computers, copiers, and office equipment
– Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
– Team-oriented with the ability to work across multiple departments
