The Formulation Scientist, Tech OPS will play a key supporting role in providing technical
support to compliance of core products, enhancing quality and manufacturing productivity. Reporting to Director of Scientific Operations, this position will assist in quality performance evaluation of core, root cause analysis of products and raw materials, raw material review, and the scale-up process, ensuring products meet high quality standards and regulatory requirements for in-house and externally manufactured formulations. This role will contribute to creating effective, consumer-focused health and wellness solutions in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The Formulation Scientist, Tech OPS will play a key supporting role in providing technical

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform analytical data review of products and raw materials to ensure compliance and quality.
- Develop appropriate formulation or analytical responses based on analytical data assessments and root cause analysis.
- Review stability plans and develop appropriate formulation or analytical responses to maintain product compliance and high consumer experience standards.
- Conduct ingredient research and raw material evaluation for efficacy, compliance, and manufacturing to support the sourcing of raw materials in partnership with procurement and external suppliers. This includes application in products made in-house and by external manufacturers.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges related to core product performance and manufacturing processes, proposing solutions in collaboration with the team.
- Ensure formulations comply with regulatory, labeling, and quality standards, working with QA/QC and Regulatory Affairs leads.
- Support core growth as required by R&D Project Management group.
- Lead internal Tech OPS projects as needed with emphasis on business priorities, execution, and success criteria.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the field of dietary supplements, or a related field.
- Familiarity with GMP standards and regulatory requirements for dietary supplements is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management tools and powder characterization tools for raw material and formulations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to projects under guidance.
- Familiarity with dietary supplement and food regulations or a willingness to learn regulatory frameworks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to good laboratory practices (GLP)
