Forklift Operator - Freezer/Cold Storage Dept.

Location: Brockport, NY

Hours: 2^nd shift: 3pm-11pm, Mon-Fri (Overtime every other Saturday during peak season)

Pay: $20-21.50/hr, depending on experience and shift

Duration: Temp to Hire Opportunity (conversion for high performers after approximately 3 months)

Position Overview

As a Forklift Operator, to support daily production operations, this role requires operating an electrically powered, seated forklift to move raw materials-including vegetables, corrugated crates, and roll stock-to the appropriate production areas. Many operators in this position will work within one of our two dumpster rooms.

You will play a key role in ensuring all materials are supplied on time to meet the daily production schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an electrically powered, seated-style forklift in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Supply raw product, corrugated packaging, roll storage, and other materials required to complete daily production.
• Use an RF scanner to track inventory movement and maintain accurate material records.
• Support the production team by ensuring timely and efficient material flow.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate an RF scanner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
