Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

Pay Rate: $19.25/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

OVERVIEW

We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to support material handling operations in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment. This role involves moving materials, maintaining inventory, and supporting production using various types of equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, cranes, and other material handling equipment
• Move materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the facility
• Load and unload shipments while maintaining accuracy and safety
• Maintain inventory records and support warehouse organization
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
• Work in a metrics-driven environment to meet productivity goals

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous forklift experience required
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs
• Steel toe shoes required
• Must be flexible for overtime as needed
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to hot (no AC) and cold (limited heating) conditions
• Moderate to loud noise levels
• Work around moving machinery and equipment
• Frequent physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• 10-panel drug screen required
• No high school diploma required
• Entry-level candidates welcome (0–1 year experience), but forklift experience is mandatory

• Load from trucks using forklift
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift
• Unload product into/from trucks using forklift/pallet jack
• Complete inhouse forklift training class and the forklift evaluation before operating a forklift
• Unload trucks using forklift and other equipment
• Unload materials using a forklift
• Operate forklift truck using safe operating procedures
• Perform forklift preventative maintenance checks and attend forklift safety meetings
• Completed before operating a forklift
• Operate forklift to load/unload route trucks and inter-branch trailers
• Utilize a forklift to load and unload storage containers from delivery trucks
• Operate a sit-down/propane powered forklift or pallet jack
• Assist with ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for assigned storage center location
• Utilizing a forklift to load and unload storage containers
• Operate a sit-down or stand-up forklift
• Unload products using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
• Maintain and operate transport equipment (forklift, lift trucks, tow trucks)
• Operate forklift using forklift safety procedures and perform daily shift forklift checks
• Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper counts and documentation
• Unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
