Job Title: Forklift Operator / Forklift Driver

Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport goods and materials in warehouses, distribution centers, or construction sites. This role involves loading, unloading, and stacking products and materials while ensuring accurate inventory management and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse or storage area.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, or pallets, ensuring proper placement and securing of materials.
  • Transport materials to designated storage areas or assembly lines.
  • Ensure inventory is properly organized and stored according to company guidelines.
  • Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and standards, including wearing appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials moved, including inventory counts and other relevant data.
  • Assist with stock rotation to ensure older products are used first.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.
  • Assist with manual labor tasks, such as packing, sorting, or organizing materials, when required.
  • Ensure the work environment is clean and safe, following all company safety regulations and guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift operator certification (required).
  • Proven experience operating forklifts or similar machinery (preferred).
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
  • Basic math skills to assist with inventory tracking and material handling.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous forklift driving experience (preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • May involve lifting heavy objects or materials (up to [weight limit]).
