Job Description for Sit-Down Forklift Operator:

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move materials around the warehouse or production area.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring the correct handling and placement of products.
• Stack, organize, and store items in designated areas, following safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by scanning or labeling products as necessary.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting and restocking materials.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to avoid accidents and injuries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Report any forklift malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift or similar machinery.
• Valid forklift certification (required).
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings.
