DLP Staffing is currently accepting applications for the position of:
- POSITION TITLE: Forklift Operator.
- Location: Eagle Pass, TX.
- FLSA: Non-Exempt.
- Hire Pay: $10.50 to $11.00 an hour.
- Classification: Full-time.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Forklift Operator will use a forklift to transport different materials around the warehouse and to load and unload materials from a loading dock.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to load and unload materials manually, off or on pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
- Perform pre- and post-inspections to ensure working forklift equipment.
- Plans and coordinates with upper management regarding loading and unloading operations.
- Keep updated records of inventory.
- Comply with company guidelines and safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned such as carrying 50 lbs. bags on catwalks and platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
- Receives supervision from Supervisor.
- Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This position's principal duties are in an indoor/outdoor environment.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
- This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing has a Drug Free Workplace Policy that includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be available 7 days a week.
