Forklfit Operator

HireLevel is looking for Forklift Operators in Hazelwood, MO.

Our client is dedicated to supporting farmers with products that optimize crop production through specifically timed and placed nitrogen delivery. Together, we are working toward a future that is more efficient, profitable, predictable, safe and sustainable for farmers and the planet.

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and will be required to perform load, unload, pick up, and put away duties. This position is responsible for operating a sit-down and/or stand-up vehicle.

Job Category: Temp to Hire

Location: Hazelwood, MO

Shift: Monday-Friday | 8am-4:30pm

Compensation: $20/hr.

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:

• Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and on-palletized freight
• Move materials to different locations within the facility
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift, and by hand
• Secure loads to the machine before movement
• Pick and wrap orders for shipment
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments and inventory movements
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Inspect, operate, and maintain vehicles
• Identify and communicate workplace safety hazards
• Adhere to safety management standards and OSHA/ANSI Compliant policies

Requirements of the Forklift Operator:

• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment and handheld scanners
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication

Note: This job requires the ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds and stand up to 4 hours at a time.
