Forest House Pool & Fitness Center Supervisor

They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

• Assist in the evaluation, and oversees the performance of all Pool and Gym Attendants
• Cover all duties for guest and owner arrival at the Forest House
• Assist Forest House Manager in training all Pool and Recreation associates and Lifeguards for the summer season.
• Responsible for job assignments, employee duties and performance of all Pool and Gym associates, Lifeguards, and any other assigned associates.
• Act as Lifeguard on duty when necessary
• Conduct daily inspections of the building and pool area for cleanliness and safety; along with action taken to correct deficiencies or recommendations for corrective action; follow through with the immediate resolution of any safety hazard and ensure proper documentation of any incident or accident.
• Maintains laundry inventory levels for the Forest House
• Maintain working knowledge of guest/owner status and applicable amenities to help better education of all guests and owners in a professional manor.
• Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations
• Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
• Maintains a strong morale and spirit throughout team
• Provides clear direction of goals and objectives to team
• Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Caldera Springs including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
• Resolves owner and guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
• Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of all Caldera Springs amenities as well as owner events
• Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Experienced in working with varied ages.
• Strong leadership skills necessary.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to organize large groups of people effectively and safely.
• Ability to work well with others and perform effectively under high intensity situations.
• Cashier experience helpful.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the position including lifting of heavy objects.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and days.
• Preferred current first aid and CPR certificate.
• Preferred Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• Must have a current, clear and valid driver’s license.

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

• Must be willing to work weekends and a flexible schedule
• Must be able to become Red Cross Lifeguard Certified (Sunriver Resort will pay for certification) within two weeks of hiring date
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company driving standards
• Must have strong computer skills
• Must have excellent leadership skills

POOL & RECREATION GYM SUPERVISOR CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
• Must be able to personally lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis;
• Must be able to occasionally lift over 40 lbs. with assistance;
