Salary: Starting at $15 / hour

 

Job Summary

Operation of cafeteria, which serves food to students and staff, assigned to this area. Responsible for serving all meals.  Responsible for keeping dining room and kitchen clean.  Responsible for maintenance of these areas in an orderly and sanitary condition. Responsible for assisting with preparation of food as needed in School activity schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and cooks a variety of meals, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and entrees, ensuring they meet nutritional standards and dietary restrictions.
  • Follows standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and quality
  • Serves meals to students and staff, ensuring food is presented attractively and appropriate portions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Washes dishes, sanitizes surfaces, and ensures that kitchen equipment is in good working condition
  • Provides excellent customer service to students and staff. Addressing any meal-related concerns and assisting those who need help.
  • Adheres to food safety regulations and sanitary practices to ensure safe foodservice environment.
  • Maintains effective communications and working relationships with Woods Services administration and co-workers.
  • Develops and provides training to teachers, staff, classrooms or groups as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required, must be able to follow directions and written instructions and prepare necessary reports.
  • Ability to cook and prepare sandwiches, entrees, and salads in volume. Proper utilization of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, be agile, physically restrain, bend, squat, stretch, reach, push up and stand for several hours at a time.
  • Prior to employment, personnel requirements include professional references, criminal clearances, and child abuse clearances.
