Schedule: Monday-Friday, Shifts starting at 9:00 AM
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Food Service Worker II performs a variety of duties including stocking supplies, food service in the cafeteria and for patients. Also performs cash register responsibilities, and cleaning according to infection control standards.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 2+ years’ hospital food service and/or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous food service, cashier, and/or cash handling experience.
- Able to stand for most of an 8-hour shift.
- Able to lift/move objects up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable speaking to customers, which includes patient families and hospital staff.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
