Status: Non-Tipped Position


Position Summary

The Sanitation Specialist is responsible formaintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring all sanitation standards are met in accordance with company policies and state and local health regulations. The Sanitation Specialist plays a critical role in food safety, organization, and overall operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all work areas, including kitchens, storage areas, dining areas, restrooms, and employee spaces
  • Follow established sanitation schedules and procedures to ensure consistent cleanliness throughout the facility
  • Properly use and store cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment according to safety guidelines
  • Stock, organize, and put away supplies, products, and sanitation materials in designated areas. This is included but not limited to food and beverage products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, coolers, and freezers
  • Remove trash and recycling regularly and dispose of waste according to company and local guidelines
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned
  • Monitor sanitation conditions and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to management
  • Ensure compliance with all company sanitation standards as well as state and local health department requirements
  • Work cooperatively with team members to support overall operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying supplies
  • Must have a valid Southern Nevada Health District - Food Handler's card    
  • Valid TAM Card (alcohol awareness card) *Specific locations ONLY
  • Prior kitchen, fast food, or quick-service experience is a plus, but not required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced food service or hospitality environment
  • Must be able to liftup to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
