Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead daily operations of our private community restaurant. This is an active, working manager role responsible for delivering an elevated dining experience while overseeing front-of-house and kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong restaurant and banquet execution experience, is confident creating and developing menus, and is comfortable moving seamlessly between front-of-house leadership, bartending, expediting, or stepping onto the line when needed. This role requires a true hospitality professional who leads by example, maintains high service standards, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Compensation: $60k+ annually, based on experience
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations for the community’s private restaurant
- Lead, supervise, and actively work alongside a team of approximately 5 associates, including servers and kitchen staff
- Develop and refresh menus in collaboration with leadership, ensuring quality, creativity, and cost control
- Execute and oversee banquet-style and special event service from planning through delivery
- Provide strong front-of-house leadership, ensuring exceptional resident and guest experiences
- Step into service roles as needed, including serving, bartending, expediting, or supporting the kitchen line
- Train and coach staff on service standards, upselling, food knowledge, and beverage execution
- Manage staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage for daily service and events
- Monitor inventory, control food and beverage costs, and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Address resident and guest feedback promptly, professionally, and with a solutions-focused mindset
- Maintain a positive, accountable, and service-driven culture within the restaurant
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in food and beverage operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hospitality best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to lead by example and work hands-on with the team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
Education and Experience:
- 3+ year of resultant experience (required)
- 2+ years leading a team (required)
- Valid Food Handlers card required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Able to work in a kitchen and dining environment with varying temperatures
Work Location: Scottsdale House Community Association; 4800 N 68th Street Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Work Hours: Full-time schedule. Restaurant hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Shifts may vary based on restaurant needs.
