Flora-Bama Beach Attendant

Job Summary:
The Beach Attendant will be responsible for the upkeep and grounds of the beach at the Flora-Bama. Through consistent surveillance of the beach area the Beach Attendant will ensure the beach remains clean and clear of debris as well as ensuring the alcohol liability requirements are being met inside the beach area. 

• Greeting and welcoming visitors who visit the private beach
• Upholding the alcohol liability requirement by maintaining zero tolerance for outside alcohol 
• Consistently patrolling the private beach to ensure it is free of trash
• Maintaining the trash cans on the beach throughout the day by removing trash bags when they become full 
• Setting up and breaking down, tables, chairs and umbrellas
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Confront guests that have coolers 
• This position will work closely with security personnel and management to address concerns. 

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Excellent verbal communication skills with guests
• Ability to take ownership of the different tasks that are assigned 
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic when talking to guests and coworkers
• Constant moving, talking, hearing, and standing for up to 8 consecutive hours and occasional stooping, and kneeling 
• Must be able to lift 25+ pounds 
• High School Diploma preferred
• Willingness to work peak hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a warm/hot outdoor environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to work Thursday-Sunday
