FLOOR CARE TECHNICIAN

IMMEDIATELY HIRING:

 Skilled Nursing rehabilitation/long-term care facility located in Queens, NY is seeking 1 Full Time Floor Care Technician

The Floor Care Technician will be responsible for keeping different types of flooring clean and well-maintained in accordance with laws, regulations and facility guidelines.

 Duties:

• Perform cleaning, waxing, stripping, and refinishing various floor types
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment
• Repair or refinish damaged or worn-out floor surfaces
• Ensure that all cleaning procedures comply with safety standards to prevent slip and fall hazards.
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Engage in physical activities, including moving furniture and handling cleaning equipment, to maintain cleanliness in all areas
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor
• Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor

Experience:

• Previous experience in floor maintenance or a related field is advantageous.

Skills:

• Good communication skills, attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and proficiency in using cleaning equipment and chemicals are essential.

 Pay: $23.00- $25.00 per hour
