This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in: (Purcell, Ok.) Title: Agricultural Equipment Operators Dates of Contract: 01/17/2025 to 11/15/2025 Schedule: Monday to Saturday 7:00am 4:00pm Duties: Worker will harvest hay, which accounts for around 35% of the job. Workers other duties include application of fertilizer & pesticides, removal of debris, trash, brush, small trees, and weeds by hand. From rows, worker will mow grass, spot treatment, mulch, transplant, check & repair fences. Workers will also clean, maintain and repair stalls, pens, farm area, barns, equipment, and make use of hand tools such as: shovels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, clippers, knives, etc. Workers will load and unload, farm field, irrigate, cultivate & sanitize shed. Workers will perform minor maintenance & operation of farm equipment. Worker will further walk behind bailer tractor throwing bails by hand. Animal caretaking accounts for 25% of the job. Animal caretaking responsibilities will be required of the worker during foaling season. During foaling season, which occurs in January and February, there is a temporary increased need of labor to supplement our U.S. labor because of the additional work created by the foaling of horses. During this time, we must have additional help cleaning stalls, watering horses, getting the horses vaccinated, and feeding the horses, which all takes additional labor hours during the foaling season because of the fragile nature of the newborn horses. As the newborn horses mature, they become more self-sufficient and require less intensive care, reducing the number of hours required caretaking for the horses. In the foals first hours of life, it is imperative the foal receives adequate nutrition. This comes from colostrum, which is only produced by the mare in the first hours after birth. The worker will be responsible for collecting and administering the colostrum. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, fertilizers, pesticides, insect spray and related chemicals, etc. may affect workers ability to perform the job. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50lbs, balancing, walking, stooping, bend, stretch, twist, kneel, and handling of materials repetitively for long periods of time. Once hired worker may be required to submit to a random drug test at no cost to worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
