Job Details

Qualifications – Needed

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Degree in Electronics or minimum 1–3 years of related fire alarm or low voltage experience
  • Must meet proficiencies of NICET Level II Technician and obtain NICET II Certification within 2 years
  • Experience servicing Notifier, Simplex, EST or similar commercial fire alarm systems
  • Experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Nurse Call Systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose low voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to obtain required state licensing for security industry work

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install, service, and maintain commercial fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair alarm panels, sirens, strobes, horns, and peripheral devices
  • Test and verify system functionality according to manufacturer specifications
  • Program and reprogram fire alarm systems using approved software and tools
  • Perform voltage, resistance, and circuit analysis using a multimeter
  • Ensure compliance with company and state regulations
  • Complete daily service documentation and reports accurately
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle in clean and operational condition
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required
  • Oversee or assist junior technicians when assigned
