Job Title: Financial Systems Administrator
Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 Based on Experience
Location: New York, NY – Hybrid (3 days on‑site, 2 days remote)
Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt

What will the Financial Systems Administrator do?

  • Administer and support core financial systems including ERP (Infor Lawson), Prophix (FP&A), AP automation, T&E solutions, and reporting tools
  • Maintain and optimize internally administered applications while managing vendor relationships for hosted solutions
  • Oversee financial master data management, including org structures, chart of accounts, allocations, and consolidation logic
  • Support month‑end close processes and ensure accuracy of financial, compliance, and management reporting
  • Lead the administration, development, and improvement of the budgeting and forecasting platform (Prophix)
  • Identify, recommend, and implement financial systems and process improvements
  • Define team objectives, oversee workloads, set performance measures, and provide supervision and mentorship to staff and consultants
  • Maintain policies and procedures related to financial systems, controls, and operational effectiveness
  • Support special projects, system enhancements, workflow improvements, and transformation initiatives
  • Oversee user support tools, ticketing systems, SLAs, and documentation for financial systems

What the company needs in a Financial Systems Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, MIS, Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in financial systems, accounting, FP&A, or information systems
  • Strong background in financial system administration, master data management, and process enablement
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across departments and manage competing deadlines
  • Willingness to support occasional evening or weekend work when needed
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight timelines

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with enterprise financial systems, office productivity tools, and financial reporting technologies
  • Financial software certifications or technical training
  • Experience administering Infor Lawson (including early versions)
  • Hands‑on experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, or report‑writing tools such as Crystal Reports
  • FP&A system super‑user or administrator experience (Prophix preferred)
  • Project management experience
