Financial Services Leader – Collections (Hybrid)
Locations: Kernersville, NC • Temecula, CA

About the Role

We are seeking a strong Financial Services Collections Supervisor to lead a team of Financial Services Coordinators and drive the performance, accuracy, and integrity of the accounts receivable and collections processes. This role oversees day-to-day operations, enforces credit and collections policies, manages aging performance, and ensures the protection of trade receivables.

You will lead a high-performing team, collaborate extensively with internal partners, and implement process improvements that support strong cash flow, low DSO, and exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, mentor, and develop Financial Services Coordinators; manage hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and training.
Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations aligned with departmental strategy.
Foster a positive, accountable, and customer-focused team culture.

Credit & Collections Oversight
Enforce credit policies and ensure high-quality collection activities.
Monitor and analyze A/R aging reports; ensure timely follow-up and documentation.
Assist with credit applications, customer payment history reviews, and credit limit evaluations.
Reduce bad-debt exposure through proactive risk assessment and collections strategy.

Operational Excellence
Oversee SOPs, training documents, system processes, and testing to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
Recommend and improve collection call techniques, workflows, and cross-functional procedures.
Ensure accurate system documentation (SAP, OneNote, shared drives).
Monitor SAP functionality and performance, ensuring it supports efficient daily operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with credit, finance, sales, customer service, warehouse, pricing/contracts, and operations teams.
Provide operational support to the Financial Services Collections Manager.
Lead and support process improvements that enhance internal controls and customer relationships.

What You Bring
Education - Associate degree in a related field or 2+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of directly related credit, A/R, or collections experience, (7+ years required for non-degreed candidates).
Experience supervising or leading teams strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability.
Ability to motivate and coach employees to achieve team and company goals.
Solid computer proficiency; SAP or ERP experience strongly preferred.
Ability to build cooperative, constructive relationships across departments.
