In this strategic position, you'll be the primary authority for external financial documentation, particularly in crafting and submitting regulatory reports such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks. Key Contributions:
- Lead the preparation and submission of SEC filings, including essential disclosures, in line with SEC, FASB, and US GAAP guidelines.
- Manage the schedule for external reporting activities, coordinating timeframes, assessments, peer reviews, and audit preparedness.
- Collaborate extensively with departments such as accounting, legal, investor communications, and company executives to ensure coherence and precision in public disclosures.
- Author and update financial summaries, footnotes, and Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) content within public reports.
- Liaise with auditors and legal experts to facilitate audit activities and public reports filing.
- Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance in relation to financial reporting procedures and controls.
- Stay updated on and incorporate new accounting practices and SEC directives, developing technical documentation as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of earnings announcements and support investor communications efforts.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline; CPA is highly favorable.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, particularly within a public firm or major advisory firm.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SEC reporting mandates, US GAAP, and SOX regulations.
- Familiarity with financial reporting software like EDGAR and Workiva is advantageous.
- Remarkable attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Effective communicator, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to confidently engage with diverse teams and senior management.
- Skilled in Excel and experienced with ERP platforms and financial integration tools.
