We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Financial Controller to join our Global manufacturing client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial health of our company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of financial control, budgeting, forecasting, and return on investment (ROI) analysis. You should also have experience with job costing and cost variances. This role will require a strong understanding of financial law and risk management practices.

Job Details
As a Financial Controller, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
2. Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
3. CPA or CMA preferred.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
9. Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
10. Proficiency in financial software.
11. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
12. Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
13. Leadership skills and experience.
14. Employee management skills.
15. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
