Sparks Group has teamed with a growing food & beverage manufacturer, seeking a strategic, hands-on finance leader to support the growth of an emerging food, beverage, or CPG brand. This individual will partner closely with leadership to build scalable financial models, optimize unit economics, and drive data-backed decision-making across operations, distribution, and capital strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop dynamic financial models, including detailed unit economics (COGS, packaging, labor, co-packer fees) and breakeven analyses across multiple growth scenarios.
  • Analyze SKU-level profitability, margin contribution by channel, and volume-based pricing sensitivity to guide leadership decisions.
  • Design and refine cost modeling frameworks to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance EBITDA performance.
  • Model channel-specific landed costs (DTC, wholesale, distributor) and evaluate CAC, deductions, chargebacks, and retail economics to inform go-to-market strategy.
  • Build forecasting tools and investor-ready financial projections to support capital planning, cash flow management, and growth initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience scaling food, beverage, or CPG brands from early-stage through expansion.
  • Strong background in accounting, FP&A, operational finance, or growth-stage financial leadership.
  • Deep understanding of unit economics, SKU profitability, cash flow management, CAC, MOQ, and distribution economics.
  • Proven experience supporting investor discussions, capital raises, and strategic growth planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks, with working knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Square, Toast, Clover); entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.
