Division Overview

The Capital Markets Division of CIG Companies is responsible for the structuring, underwriting, and execution of capital solutions across the organization’s operating verticals, including CIG Energy, US Modules, Magnifica Hospitality, Magnifica Air, and other strategic initiatives.

The Division centralizes financial modeling, transaction analysis, institutional investor engagement, and capital planning functions. Its mandate is to ensure disciplined underwriting, rigorous financial structuring, and efficient capital deployment across the platform.

Position Summary

CIG Companies is seeking a Financial Modeling Analyst to join its Capital Markets Division. This position is a modeling-intensive role requiring advanced financial analytical capability, institutional-grade modeling standards, and strong familiarity with structured finance principles.

The Analyst will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and review of integrated financial models that support project finance transactions, structured debt, tax credit monetization, equity capital formation, and portfolio-level capital planning.

The position requires precision, sound financial judgment, and the ability to operate effectively within active transaction processes.

Principal Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Underwriting

  • Develop and maintain fully integrated, dynamic financial models supporting project-level and portfolio-level analysis

  • Structure detailed sources and uses, capital stacks, and cash flow projections

  • Model construction period cash flows and long-term operating projections

  • Perform debt sizing analysis based on lender metrics, including DSCR and other credit constraints

  • Model structured finance components, including tax equity and cash flow waterfalls

  • Conduct sensitivity, downside, and stress-case analyses to evaluate risk and capital resilience

  • Prepare lender-ready and investor-ready financial outputs

Transaction Support

  • Support live debt, equity, and structured finance transactions

  • Prepare underwriting summaries and investment committee materials

  • Respond to diligence inquiries from lenders, tax equity investors, and institutional counterparties

  • Coordinate with legal, operational, engineering, and executive stakeholders to ensure consistency between contractual, technical, and financial assumptions

Capital Planning & Portfolio Analytics

  • Support cross-vertical capital planning initiatives

  • Track portfolio-level capital exposure and performance metrics

  • Assist senior leadership in evaluating capital allocation alternatives

Modeling Standards

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to construct models that are:

  • Structurally sound and logically organized

  • Transparent and clearly auditable

  • Free of circular reference errors

  • Clearly separated by inputs, calculations, and outputs

  • Defensible under institutional review

As part of the evaluation process, candidates will be required to complete a financial modeling assessment designed to assess technical proficiency, analytical rigor, and clarity of presentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical discipline

  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in project finance, infrastructure investing, renewable energy finance, or investment banking (energy or infrastructure focus preferred)

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; financial modeling competency is essential

  • Demonstrated experience building integrated financial models independently

  • Strong understanding of capital structure mechanics, credit metrics, and structured finance concepts

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform under transaction timelines
