The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs, production variances, and inventory levels.
• Prepare detailed financial budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Conduct variance analysis, explaining deviations from budget and prior periods.
• Evaluate capital expenditure requests and conduct post-implementation reviews.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within production processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis specific to manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for financial data extraction and reporting in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for analyzing operational and financial performance.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing costs, production efficiencies, and return on investment for capital expenditures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Solid understanding and experience with cost accounting principles in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with SAP FI/CO modules or similar manufacturing-focused ERP systems.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
