Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing costs, overhead, and COGS to identify trends and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts for production expenses, raw materials, and labor.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast for production volumes, material usage, and labor efficiency.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Evaluate proposed capital investments for new equipment or facility upgrades, including ROI and payback period calculations.
  • Perform product profitability analysis to support pricing strategies and product portfolio decisions.
  • Support inventory valuation processes and analyze inventory turns, obsolescence, and carrying costs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with cost accounting principles and practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights on operational performance.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and inventory management.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g., standard costing, variance analysis).
