Summary

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities within a retail-focused environment. This role is highly data-driven and requires strong Excel skills, experience working with ERP systems, and the ability to deliver accurate financial insights to business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing operating results, supporting budget-related requests, reconciling payments and commissions, and generating reporting to resolve discrepancies and variances. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and requires a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze actual operating results, interpret financial data, and present findings to management
• Respond to budget-related requests for financial data and analysis
• Deliver finance reporting and financial data analytics to key business stakeholders
• Create actionable reporting and analytics to support effective spending plans

Reconciliation & Audit Support

• Reconcile promotional claims and point-of-sale (POS) activity
• Research and resolve payment reconciliation issues arising from audits, exception reports, or remittance changes
• Generate required reporting to validate payments and resolve discrepancies and variances
• Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure timely and accurate payments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3 years minimum of directly related experience
• Prior experience in retail operations preferred
