Are you passionate about financial management and have a knack for leading teams? We are seeking a seasoned Financial Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This permanent, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial department, managing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of SOX Compliance, Regulated Manufacturing, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Government contracting accounting with a minimum of 5 years of experience in these areas.

Responsibilities:

As a Financial Accounting Manager, you will:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.

3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

4. Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other regulations.

5. Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.

6. Coordinate with the auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

7. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

9. Direct the financial planning and strategy analysis, while bearing in mind the company's goals.

10. Develop strategies to optimize accounting procedures without compromising accuracy and compliance with the law.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management roles, specifically in SOX Compliance, Regulated Manufacturing, CAS, and Government contracting accounting.

3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

4. Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.

5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and accounting software.

7. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.

8. An ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.

9. A demonstrated ability to improve and streamline processes and workflows.
