A mission-driven nonprofit organization is hiring a Finance Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support the CFO with financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a team of 4–5 direct reports, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys both operational accounting and higher-level financial support.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Support monthly/quarterly close and financial reporting
Develop and manage organizational budgets and forecasts
Oversee daily accounting operations including: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, and General Ledger (GL)
Conduct regular internal audits and ensure strong financial compliance
Assist with Consolidated Fiscal Reporting and Consolidated Budget Reporting
Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insight and program support
Partner with the CFO on financial initiatives and process improvements

What We’re Looking For

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting/finance experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in a nonprofit environment
2–3 years of management or supervisory experience

Standout Experience
Budget development and oversight
Audit preparation and compliance
Program-level financial reporting
Leading, mentoring, and coaching accounting staff
