About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to support the deployment of AI-powered computer vision systems in healthcare and industrial environments. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of a Senior AI Field Engineer and with customers to help with system performance, site surveys, camera layout planning, low-voltage infrastructure mapping, data collection, and hands-on field work.

Role Responsibilities:
Operational planning & scheduling ownership: Design and manage technician scheduling,
routing, capacity planning, and coverage models to meet customer needs and requirements.
• Systems analysis & consulting: Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to gather
requirements and define functional specifications for software-driven camera/AV deployments
(workflows, visibility, deployments, analytics, alerting, reliability).
• Supervise and lead: Oversee planning through execution of deployed AI systems with our
technician installers and partners.
• Solution design: Design end-to-end camera system configurations, including visibility layout,
network/service dependencies, and integration points
• Software configuration & implementation: Configure and validate application components
(e.g., VMS/NVR software, edge services, management tooling, device provisioning services,
according to defined specs.)
• Testing & verification: Create and follow through on test plans to validate functionality and
performance (connectivity, stream quality, latency, failover, monitoring/alerts, security
hardening), and document results.
• Documentation: Produce and maintain technical documentation for customer dedicated
deployments, including camera layout-mapping systems, system design notes, configuration
baselines, runbooks, and deployment/validation procedures for repeatability and support
handoff.
• Cross-functional feedback loop: Provide structured feedback to Product/Engineering,
management, and leadership on continuous improvement of deployment tooling and product
reliability.
Requirements
4+ in a software/systems administration, solutions engineering, or planning/ deployment role
(camera/AV/security domain experience is a plus).
• Strong proficiency with networking for software systems (TCP/IP, routing/VLAN concepts, DNS,
DHCP, firewall rules, RTSP/ONVIF concepts where applicable).
• Ability to troubleshoot using logs/metrics, command line tools, and structured root-cause
analysis.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows administration and service configuration.
• Ability to read and produce technical documentation, diagrams, and implementation runbooks.
• Strong customer communication skills (requirements discovery, explaining tradeoffs,
documenting decisions).
• Comfortable with travel for on-site implementation and validation as needed.
