What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Service Technician to join our team. A high-level understanding of Mechanical / Electrical systems is required to assist our service department in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of equipment. This is a remote position with 80% travel. The ideal candidate would be based in Indiana, Missouri, or Ohio, but we are willing to hire in other states. Candidates should live in proximity to a major airport. This position is located in New Albany, IN, a vibrant community offering a great quality of life with its blend of historic charm and modern amenities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Service and support all of the company's products as part of a team.
- Perform preventative maintenance and provide breakdown support for the range of our products.
- Offer technical support, troubleshooting, and calibration for the company's product range.
- Install and upgrade the full range of products.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade appropriate third-party products.
- Provide professional and courteous telephone support.
- Offer technical helpdesk services as required.
- Conduct customer/agent training.
- Perform quality and performance testing prior to dispatch.
- Generate reports.
- Promote world-class support operations.
- Promote company products to customers on-site and assist them in understanding the benefits of the products.
- Frequent travel within the U.S. and occasional international travel to support our global customer base.
- Direct customer communication.
- Report to and work closely with the NA customer support lead.
- Work within the company's QMS procedures and processes at all times. Additional duties may be required as the business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment with the ability to lead and adapt in a changing business environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience as a Service Technician.
- Manufacturing background experience.
- Understanding of Windows configuration tools, software drivers, etc.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Full/Clean Driving License.
- Highly skilled in mechanical/electrical work with a strong understanding of associated components.
- Understanding of pneumatic systems.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.

- ME or EE Associates degree is preferred but not required.
- 3 years of equivalent work experience
