Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install, commission, and repair industrial food processing equipment
- Provide mechanical, electrical, combustion, and process troubleshooting—both onsite and via phone
- Conduct on-site training for equipment operators and maintenance personnel
- Work closely with engineering/design teams to provide feedback on equipment design and function
- Prepare detailed written field service reports summarizing work completed and equipment condition
- Perform mechanical adjustments, control instrument calibration, and functional parts alignment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, installation drawings, and system diagrams
- Work with plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Travel up to 90% of the time to customer facilities
- Work safely on ladders, at heights, and in hot/non-air-conditioned environments
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment as needed
Qualifications Needed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment
- Strong experience with equipment installation, repair, and industrial troubleshooting
- Combustion system or plant engineering background strongly preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and installation diagrams
- Background in plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work at heights or in hot environments
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic instruments
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction and training
- Willingness to travel 90% nationally
