Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Wood Dale, IL (Hybrid: ~10% onsite, ~90% travel)
Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 (Salaried)
Work Environment & Schedule
Hybrid flexibility: work from home when not traveling; occasional time in the office as needed
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Overview
This is a highly hands-on, travel-focused Field Service Technician role supporting customers across North America. The position involves working directly with technical equipment in the field, performing service, calibration, installation, and customer training while acting as a key technical resource.
Key Responsibilities
Perform equipment service, maintenance, and repairs
Execute calibration services in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO-17025)
Install equipment and provide on-site and remote training to end users
Conduct inspections to ensure proper system functionality and compliance
Maintain accurate service and calibration records
Coordinate service schedules and travel logistics
Provide technical support and resolve customer issues in the field
Identify opportunities for additional services or equipment
Stay current on industry standards, technologies, and best practices
Qualifications
1–3+ years of experience in field service, calibration, or technical support roles
Experience with quality systems or calibration standards preferred
Associate degree or HS Diploma, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience
Knowledge of ISO-17025 calibrations to ensure systems meet quality and compliance standards
Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Excel; training provided for internal systems)
Valid driver’s license and current passport
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (90%+), including overnight travel
