Field Service Mechanic – Heavy Duty Construction Equipment

Our Client, a well-established underground utility construction company, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and self-motivated Field Service Mechanic to join their team.
This individual will have a company service vehicle to travel to their construction sites to maintain and repair construction equipment and vehicles throughout PA, WV, VA, and MD.
Qualifications
• Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment and heavy-duty trucks required
• Valid CDL license with clean Motor Vehicle Record per company’s insurance standards
• Must possess exceptional trouble shooting abilities
• Ability to travel with a company service vehicle to project location daily and/or stay out of town when necessary.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various gas and diesel engines
• Good understanding of DOT regulations regarding maintenance practices
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Basic computer skills
• Able to stand, kneel, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. unassisted

Responsibilities
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and test heavy duty equipment and company vehicles such as trucks, trailers, bulldozers, graders, excavators and other equipment
• Utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure optimal equipment performance while adhering to safety regulations
• Keep accurate paperwork completed of all repairs and services
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and test heavy duty equipment and company vehicles such as trucks, trailers, bulldozers, graders, excavators and other equipment
• Utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure optimal equipment performance while adhering to safety regulations
• Keep accurate paperwork completed of all repairs and services
Schedule and Benefit Overview
• Hourly position. Wage based on experience
• Typically schedule Monday - Friday & occasional weekends.
• Staying out of town when the project requires it. Company pays lodging if out of town
• Overtime and 5+ days required at times. Must work overtime hours when required
• Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance coverage is available after 90 days of service
• Company paid Life Insurance; 401K with Company Match offered upon eligibility
• Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holiday Pay offered
