Job Description: Field Service Engineer Purpose of the Position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Provide Production Support for existing industrial scale Ice Cream Machines
Troubleshoot, Repair, and Overhaul existing Equipment/Machines
Execute installation and commissioning of new installations, service tasks, and upgrades on existing installations.
• Supervise, lead, and control external contractors.
• Secure targeted and optimum execution of installation projects and service activities.
• Supervise and follow up on plans; act on behalf of the company Field Service Manager.
• Prepare weekly installation/service reports during and after completion of installation and service tasks.
• Conduct technical user training for customers’ maintenance crew.
• Ensure customer feedback is reported to the corporate office.
• Support and work with the company’s Engineering/Service department on development of new products.
• Support and work with the company’s Engineering, Production, and QA departments to secure product quality.
• Support back-office colleagues on technical questions/cases as needed.
• Participate in development of the company’s training programs as needed.
• Assist construction department and other colleagues with documentation, including creating instructions, service and user manuals, and educational material.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and partners to ensure customer needs and demands are understood and met; provide feedback to Field Service Management.
• Adhere to all company and client site safety regulations.

Education and Experience
• Strong mechanical skills with good working knowledge of electrical controls.
• 5 to 7 years of practical experience with hands-on skills using hand tools for disassembly and repair of machinery.
• Basic machining skills include drilling, tapping, milling, and lathe work.
• Basic knowledge of AB software and PLC programming, HMI upload/download.
• Work experience preferred in food handling equipment.
• Good knowledge of pneumatic systems.
