Field Safety Specialist - Solar & Renewable Energy

Our client is seeking a Field Safety Specialist to support active construction projects by promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site safety standards. This role focuses on on-site safety execution, working closely with project leadership and field teams to maintain a safe and injury-free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide site safety training and onboarding for all personnel and maintain compliance documentation
• Conduct field observations, safety audits, and jobsite inspections to identify hazards and enforce safe work practices
• Support incident investigations, identify root causes, and assist in developing corrective actions
• Collaborate with project leadership to implement safety programs, job hazard analyses, and mitigation strategies
• Lead toolbox talks and reinforce safety standards through daily interaction with field personnel

Requirements

• 2+ years of construction safety experience on active job sites (industrial, commercial, or energy projects)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to enforce safety compliance in a construction environment
• Experience supporting field teams with safety training, audits, and incident investigations
• Ability to work independently on-site and communicate effectively with both field personnel and leadership
• Willingness to travel and work on-site for the duration of projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting electrical construction projects or working alongside electrical contractors
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, or similar industry standards
• Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, or CSP
