Opportunity Overview

The Field Product Specialist works closely with the sales team, engaging with customers, understanding customer's technical requirements, formulates test strategy with internal application and engineering teams and proposes test solutions to customers. The ability to communicate with both customers and internal teams is of key importance.



+ Technical Expertise & Pre-Sales Support in ATE (Automated Test Equipment) and SLT (System Level Testing)


+ Provide expert advice to customers, sales teams, and field application engineers.


+ Feedback customer requirements to engineering team for creating test solutions.


+ Help customers identify challenges and suggest effective solutions.


+ Develop strategic relationships with customers, focusing on technical and operational decision-makers.


+ Work directly with customers to define projects and identify new opportunities


+ Drive technical exchange


+ Provide in-depth communication regarding product applications, sizing, and competitive positioning.


+ Develop, coordinate, and deliver compelling product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.


+ Support technical on-site evaluations and help resolve customer inquiries.


+ Stay informed about competitors, industry trends, and new requirements in ATE and SLT.


+ Provide feedback to internal engineering and product management teams regarding market needs and competitive landscapes.


+ Work with the sales team to develop and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.


+ Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.


+ Strong technical knowledge of in-circuit testing, boundary scan test techniques, and in-system programming.


+ Familiarity with computer / server / mobile products and the test requirements.


+ Good written and verbal communication skills




+ Good presentation skills




+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.


+ Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as a Field Application Engineer or technical pre-sales specialist, is highly desirable.




+ Must have Test / Product engineering experience in Digital, High-Speed Digital, High-Power Computing, System on Chip, Mixed Signal, or Analog testing and test development on ATE and/or SLT platforms


+ Strong understanding of general software programming (preferred .NET – C#, VB, and/or C++, C, Java) and common algorithms


+ Preferred to have development experience on Teradyne or other semiconductor ATE and/or SLT platforms




+ Ability to travel

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $155,000- $248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.





Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
