Field Construction Engineer (On-site), non-IT role

HEPCO Inc. is seeking Field Engineers to support a major infrastructure project at Newark Airport. This is a hands-on role working closely with project leadership and field teams to drive execution from planning through closeout.
- Review project plans and assist in developing construction schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors for procurement and pre-construction activities
- Prepare work packages and support pre-construction meetings
- Oversee daily field operations, including layout and quality control
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and subcontractor communication
- Track project progress, schedules, and overall performance
- Identify and address site risks, issues, and changing conditions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support project closeout, documentation, and final deliverables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3–4+ years of civil construction or field engineering experience
- Knowledge of OSHA and federal safety regulations
- Experience with project controls, estimating, and scheduling (CPM)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6
