Job Details

Jobot is partnering with a growing, national law firm to staff a position as a Fiduciary Accountant - Paralegal. The Paralegal/Fiduciary Accountant applies the principles of fiduciary accounting to review and analyze financial information and prepare income, estate, and gift tax returns.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and files Federal and state estate tax and gift tax returns
  • Prepares and files Federal and state fiduciary income tax returns
  • Prepares estate and trust accountings
  • Prepares informational returns for tax exempt entities
  • Estate and gift tax planning (actuarial and interest computations i.e., QPRTs, GRATs, CRATs and CLUTs)
  • Maintains and updates estate and trust accounts and records (tax information)
  • Responds to IRS and state tax agency audit inquiries
  • Assists with estate administration tasks as needed, including probate filings, inventories, assist with collecting assets and distributing to beneficiaries

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN EITHER DENVER, CO - DETROIT, MI - NAPLES, FL

If you have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a Paralegal certificate with a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation being strongly preferred, at least 3+ years of experience in trust and estate tax within a law firm, CPA or financial services environment, have exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships with attorneys, leaders, peers and clients, thrive in a fast paced, detail oriented environment, enjoy working in a team environment and are highly organized than this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
