Are you a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing exceptional patient care in challenging environments? We are seeking a highly qualified FNP to work in an inpatient psychiatric unit, delivering vital healthcare services to a diverse patient population ranging from age 10 to elderly adults. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient recovery while advancing your professional skills.

This position offers an engaging and impactful role within a dynamic healthcare setting. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing healthcare needs of patients in a psychiatric inpatient unit, primarily focusing on adult patients. The role requires a confident practitioner capable of working independently, especially in fast-paced environments. The assignment is forecasted to last for approximately one year, providing stability and ongoing professional development.

Required Skills:

  • Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with valid licensure to practice independently in Massachusetts
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in inpatient or psychiatric settings
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training completed or willing to obtain
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working with adolescent and elderly populations
  • Previous experience in psych or inpatient healthcare settings
  • Bilingual abilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience, with a focus on mental health or inpatient care

Other Requirements:
  • Coverage needed for intermittent weekends; primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Valid certifications including CPR, CPI, and state licensure
  • Ability to work intermittently on weekends as needed for coverage
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced psychiatric inpatient environment

This is a full-time role offering an hourly pay rate of $1.00.
