Family Assistant for Family of Three in the Old Providence Neighborhood of Charlotte

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Old Providence neighborhood of South Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for a family of three, including their 3-month-old daughter. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. (30 hours)

The best Family Assistant would be a nurturing, reliable caregiver with a strong background in infant care and a developmentally focused approach. This individual will be responsible for the child’s daily needs, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining a consistent routine supporting healthy nap habits. As the child grows, the nanny will thoughtfully adapt care to support each new developmental stage, helping her reach important milestones through engaging, age-appropriate activities. The Family Assistant should foster an active, educational environment by incorporating activities such as reading, singing, playing with age-appropriate toys, tummy time, and neighborhood strolls.

This family is looking for someone to grow with their family and stay with them for years to come. Both parents work from home and will be present and involved throughout the day, so the Family Assistant should be comfortable working collaboratively while also taking initiative. In addition to childcare, this role includes light family assistant duties that are listed below.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Family’s laundry and changing the child’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep, including preparing bottles

• Unloading/loading dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces

• Emptying diaper trash

• Keeping play areas and common areas tidy

Pets: The family has a Lab mix and a Plothound mix; there are no pet responsibilities, but the Family Assistant should be comfortable with dogs.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations, the Covid-19 vaccine, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP prior to starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $28 an hour, depending on experience
