Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing medical device manufacturer who is hiring a Failure Analysis Technician to join their team. This is a contract to hire position supporting the Engineering department and production, troubleshooting issues and improving overall product quality. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and being involved in continuous improvement initiatives.

 
 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis on electronic products and test equipment, including printed circuit boards (PCB) to the component level
  • Troubleshoot using tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
  • Interpret schematics to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Support production by identifying root causes of failures and recommending corrective actions
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment, including coordinating with external calibration vendors
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure equipment compliance
  • Assist with process improvements, documentation updates, and quality initiatives
  • Support engineering projects and investigations related to production or test failures

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering, technical school training, or equivalent military experience
  • Hands-on soldering experience (required)
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic components and PCB assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple pieces of equipment and projects simultaneously
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
