FACILITY PROJECT SPECIALIST –MISSION-CRITICAL

OVERVIEW
GTN is seeking a detail-oriented Facility Project Specialist to support planning and execution activities for a large-scale High-Performance Compute Center (HPCC) campus.
This role supports design coordination, permitting, special projects, vendor management, utilities, and construction oversight within a mission-critical environment. The Facility Project Specialist will assist in managing timelines, budgets, documentation, and contractor relationships to ensure efficient and compliant project delivery.
This position reports to senior property and development leadership and offers long-term growth potential, including the opportunity to transition into an onsite Facilities or Project Management role upon successful project completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Coordination & Execution
•Assist in managing design, permitting, and construction phases of HPCC campus development
•Support budget tracking, schedule updates, and milestone reporting to ensure timely delivery
•Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution
•Contribute to project status reports and stakeholder presentations
Site Infrastructure & Utilities Coordination
•Coordinate with contractors and utility providers to ensure timely installation of site infrastructure including water, sewer, power, gas, telecom, and data services
•Support planning and coordination of solar installation initiatives, including contractor scheduling and milestone tracking
•Monitor fencing, access control, and perimeter projects to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Campus Improvements & Special Projects
•Support planning and execution of campus upgrades including landscaping, paving, lighting, and signage
•Conduct routine site walkthroughs, document issues, and coordinate proactive resolution with contractors and vendors
•Assist in preparing RFPs, reviewing bids, and supporting contractor onboarding and oversight
Compliance & Documentation
•Maintain project documentation, timelines, and compliance records
•Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and building regulations
•Support documentation and coordination across MEP systems, utilities, and critical infrastructure components
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Development, Facilities Management, or related field
•5–7 years of experience in industrial real estate development, facilities management, construction, or mission-critical environments
•Strong understanding of MEP systems, utilities, and site infrastructure
•Experience supporting project coordination, scheduling, budget tracking, and vendor management
•Working knowledge of HVAC, power systems, and critical infrastructure environments
•Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency with project management tools and construction documentation platforms
•Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative work style
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Facilities Management (FM) certifications
•Experience working with utility providers (gas, electric, solar, telecom, water)
•Exposure to mission-critical or data center campus development environments
