Facility Maintenance Technician

- 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Entry working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC basics, and appliance repair
- Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and perform physical tasks in various conditions
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
- Respond to tenant work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with unit turnover, including painting, repairs, maintenance, cleaning coordination, and ensuring units are move-in ready
- Conduct regular property and unit inspections and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and supplies used
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team and oversee the upkeep of a large residential property of 100-units in the East Madison, WI area. This position includes on-site housing as part of the compensation package.
