Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Overview

We are hiring a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cheswick, PA. This is a long-term contract position offering consistent day-shift hours, competitive pay, and full benefits. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all laboratory and facility safety protocols.
• Monitor, inspect, and report on daily HVAC system performance.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and work orders efficiently and communicate updates with supervision.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues; repair or replace faulty components and damaged structures.
• Support management of HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure full operational functionality.
• Perform periodic quality checks on systems and equipment to verify compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in additional departmental duties as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and security procedures.
• Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and expand technical skills.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant maintenance or facilities experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and related controls.
• Proficiency in general machining and the use of hand and power tools.
• Experience in wood and structural fabrication; MIG/TIG welding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and basic wiring.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office and basic CAD software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and within a team.
