JOB SUMMARY:
Performs professional duties in preventive maintenance of the production equipment, operations and maintenance of the physical facilities, and fabrication, modifications or construction of Able Aerospace Services as required.
- Takes initiative to perform root cause problem solving, identifies and resolves chronic problems.
- Provides performance reports as required to Facilities Manager through appropriate systems.
- Uses time management skills to complete his/her assigned work order requests efficiently to meet turnaround times and commitments to the customer, while continually improving the customer experience.
- Maintains control of lighting, temperature and humidity in the offices and production areas, using the FMS to assist in troubleshooting facilities equipment.
- Dismantles, installs, repairs and implements upgrades on complete systems from blue prints, schematics, drawings and verbal instructions
- Frequently inspects building and site in general for current and future maintenance needs including work related to electricity, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, HVAC equipment, roofing, gas, floor, properties security, job hazard analyses, and LOTO procedures.
- Creates materials and parts lists for projects and assist technicians or Facilities Management to order parts through the procurement process.
- Consistently manages building and equipment assets with documentation in the proper computer program (eMaint).
- Works with limited guidance from Facilities Manager, while keeping the manager informed of, scheduling conflicts, changes to the building structure, and work orders in process.
EDUCATION:
· Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
EXPERIENCE:
· Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through local airport authority if applicable
· Experience in any of the following skillsets is preferred:
o Electrical, including new installation and repairs
o HVAC, including chillers and cooling tower operations
o Plumbing, including boiler operations and RO/DI water systems
o Welding, including MIG, TIG, GMAW and Oxygen/Acetylene brazing
o General Facilities, including framing, drywall, painting, furniture, door hardware, etc.
o Carpentry and Fabrication, including wood and metal structures
o Machine Shop Equipment, including troubleshooting and geometry alignments
o Hydraulics, including troubleshooting, design, and fabrication of circuits
o Custodial services
- Minimum of five (5) years facilities related experience required.
· Experience in at least two (2) of the following skillsets:
o Electrical, including new installation and repairs
o Controls and instrumentation, including design and troubleshooting
o HVAC, including chillers and cooling tower operations
o Plumbing, including boiler operations and RO/DI water systems
o Welding, including MIG, TIG, GMAW and Oxygen/Acetylene brazing
o General Facilities, including framing, drywall, painting, furniture, door hardware, etc.
o Carpentry and Fabrication, including wood and metal structures
