Facilities Mechanical Specialist

Individual will be responsible for keeping the food facility in good working condition. This role supports the daily operations by performing basic maintenance, repairs and inspections to ensure that equipment, building and work areas are safe, clean and functioning efficiently.at all times.                                                                                                             

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility structures, including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, docks, and office areas
• Complete minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, HVAC components, and mechanical equipment
• Repair or replace fixtures such as faucets, valves, hoses, guards, handrails, shelving, tile, and flooring
• Assist with maintenance of food production and packaging equipment under supervision
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report larger or specialized repairs to maintenance management
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify wear, damage, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns
• Maintain building exterior areas including walkways, drains, loading docks, and waste areas
• Perform painting, caulking, patching, sealing, and general carpentry work
• Support equipment installation, relocation, and breakdown
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
• Follow all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety, sanitation, and safety policies
• Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
