Overview
Mission-driven nonprofit organization is hiring a Facilities Project Manager to oversee multi-building operations, lead maintenance and housekeeping teams, manage vendors, and run remodel and construction projects. This role ensures facilities remain safe, compliant, and welcoming for staff and the families served.
Core Responsibilities
Lead and manage Maintenance and Housekeeping teams across multiple buildings
Own preventive maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems
Manage remodels, renovations, and small construction projects from scoping through completion
Source, evaluate, and manage vendors and contractors (bids, contracts, timelines, quality control)
Participate in on-call rotation for urgent after-hours or weekend facility issues
Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, fire/life safety, and building regulations
Maintain maintenance logs, vendor documentation, compliance records, and equipment inventory
Partner closely with program leadership and administration to align facilities with operational needs
Qualifications
5+ years of facilities, maintenance, and/or project management experience
Prior people management required
Bachelor’s degree preferred (HS diploma/GED required)
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Strong vendor management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with work order systems, email, and project tracking tools
Calm under pressure; able to manage competing priorities and urgent issues
