Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machines according to established procedures
- Perform setup and changeovers of extrusion lines, dies, and tooling
- Inspect and measure extruded products for defects and dimensional accuracy
- Document production data and quality checks accurately
- Troubleshoot line issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE
- Assist with material handling, packaging, and labeling as needed
- Communicate clearly with team leads and supervisors
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read a tape measure and basic shop math skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8–12 hours on a concrete floor
- Willingness to work in a warm, industrial setting with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred:
- Experience operating extrusion or similar manufacturing equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Forklift experience or certification
- Basic computer/data entry skills
