Augusta Tower Technologies, Inc. is expanding our Midwest team and hiring an Experienced Tower Climber (Top Hand) with a strong background in telecommunications and tower construction.

$26 - $28 hourly
Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless telecommunications equipment on towers
- Perform work safely at extreme heights and in varying weather conditions
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Quickly diagnose and resolve telecommunications system issues
- Capable of troubleshooting technical issues efficiently, even in challenging conditions
- Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and site-specific regulations
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to junior tower technicians
- Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the Midwest
- Travel is required
Work Environment
This role involves climbing telecommunications towers exceeding 300 feet, working in varying weather conditions, and supporting wireless infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 70+ lbs of equipment while maintaining strict adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety standards.
Qualifications:- Telecommunications experience with a demonstrated background in tower climbing is required
- NWSA TTT-1 certification preferred; the company will cover certification costs as it is required within the first 90 days of employment
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tower climbing or telecom construction
- Proficient in rigging, tower erection, and antenna installation
- Strong knowledge of RF, fiber optics, and telecom infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong work ethic with proven reliability and the physical stamina required for demanding field work
- Comfortable working at heights exceeding 300 feet while carrying 70+ lbs of equipment
- Strong commitment to safety, OSHA compliance, and a safety-first mindset
- Familiar with industry regulations and committed to job-site safety
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Valid safety certifications required (company covers renewal costs)
- CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred (not required)
- Comfortable working in a high-performance, team-oriented environment
- Able to work independently while staying coordinated with the team
